The Bible
The Bible is God's Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.
We believe in this infallible word.
Trinity
Trinity Depicts the Godhead that operates in three personalities, yet ONE. According to 1 John 5:7, "there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit; and these three are One". Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.
We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 4:4-5; 1 Corinthians 8:6.
The Father
God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.
We believe in the supremacy, holiness and loving kindness of God Almighty, who is our Father.
The Son
Jesus Christ is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God's demands for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we can have life.
- We believe in the Deity of Christ
- We believe He was born of a virgin; (John 1:1-4, 10:30, Hebrews 1:1-5).
- We believe He was conceived of the Holy Spirit; (Matthew 1:18-25 Luke 1:30-3 5) 5. He died: (John 19:30-3,5)
- We believe He rose again from the dead bodily; (John 20:25-29, Luke 24:36-40)
- We believe He ascended into heaven bodily, (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matthew 24:29-30)
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit's presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God's righteousness, and the coming judgment. He gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ. The Holy Spirit helps a Christian to live a victorious life through His character:
He is comforter, counsellor, teacher, helper, strengthener, intercessor, and standby.
- We believe that when an individual receives the Holy Spirit, he receives divine enablement for Christian service and witness (Acts 1:8; 2:4; 3:1-26; 4:5-12)
- We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:11; Romans 15:16)
The Eternity
Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
- We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to God's gift of salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.
man
Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
- We believe that sin has separated every man from God and His purpose for our lives.
Salvation
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.
- We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19, Luke 24:47, Ephesians 1:7)
- We believe that regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God is essential for personal salvation (Titus 2:5, John 3:3-5, Ephesians 5:27)
- We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides divine healing for the body and salvation for the soul to everyone that believes (Acts 3:16 Acts 9:32-35, 1 Peter 2:24)
The Church
The Church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.
- We believe the Church to be a living body, the Body of Christ, a habitation of God through the Spirit, of which Christ is the Head.
- We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues, which is one of the evidences of baptism in the Holy Spirit; to fulfill the great commission.
- We believe that God equips each of us so to successfully achieve His purpose for our lives, which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.
